Welcome to the Playbook To College Blog
If you have made it to this page, you are probably somewhere in the thick of it: juggling a junior’s course schedule, wondering whether one more extracurricular actually moves the needle, or just trying to figure out where to even start. We built Playbook To College because that confusion is so common, and so unnecessary. This blog is where we will keep unpacking it, one practical post at a time.
Our goal here is not to add another 800 pages to your reading list. It is the opposite. Each post will walk through one specific piece of the admissions puzzle, the kind of thing we cover in our bootcamps and 1:1 consults, so you can act on it the same day you read it. Expect posts on how to think about course rigor without burning your student out, how essays actually get evaluated, and how to have the “what are we even doing this year” conversation at home without it turning into a fight.
You will also see regular breakdowns of our P.A.S.S. system, the same academics, extracurriculars, essays, and recommendations framework we use to build every family’s Academic Success Score. Rather than treating admissions as a mystery, P.A.S.S. gives you a clear read on where your student stands right now and exactly what to prioritize next. We will use this space to go deeper on each piece of that framework than we are able to in a single info session.
Finally, this is where we will post updates on upcoming bootcamp sessions, free info sessions, and priority list openings, so if you are not ready to sign up today, bookmarking this page is a good way to stay in the loop. Thanks for being here. We are glad to have you along for it.
